Engine and interior out.
When restoring a classic vehicle, we prefer that the customer removes the engine and interior prior to bringing the vehicle in for restoration. This helps streamline the restoration process and allows our team to focus on the bodywork and other essential tasks. It also ensures that we avoid any additional handling or potential damage to sensitive parts during transport. By having the engine and interior removed beforehand, we can maintain better control over the quality of the restoration work, reduce overall labor time, and avoid unforeseen complications. If we are required to perform this work ourselves, additional costs will be incurred to cover the extra labor and expertise involved in removing and reassembling these components."
Media blasting
Before starting any restoration work, we strongly recommend having your car media blasted. Media blasting removes old paint, rust, and contaminants from the vehicle’s surface, providing a clean, smooth foundation for the restoration process. As well as a more accurate assessment of the car’s underlying structure. By stripping away layers of old material, we can identify hidden issues like corrosion or body damage that may otherwise go unnoticed. Ultimately, media blasting helps improve the overall quality and longevity of the restoration, leading to a more durable and flawless finish.
